Our Rest-Deprivation Crisis

This little-known fact breaks my heart:

When it comes to rest – we are chronically malnourished.

It’s true. We are in the midst of a global rest-deprivation crisis. A Superhero-syndrome.
We. Don’t. Know. How. To. Stop!

Yet modern science concurs: we need rest – in order to thrive.


Many people secretly ache for permission to rest.

But with our burgeoning Superhero-complex – most people simply don’t prioritise rest.

Don’t want to. Don’t know how.


When we don’t take time out to switch ‘off’ and regulate our nervous system –
it eventually shows up as stress and illness.

Things get compromised. Messy.

I’ve been there – and it was brutal.

You see, life has become a balancing act of relentless to-do lists. We have a chronic perception of urgency – and not enough ‘time’. And as we insist on getting it all ‘done’ we are left severely rest deprived. Spent. Starved for quality sleep and aching for time to just relax into our own lives

Our ‘always-on’ culture leaves our brains activated like never before. And you’re feeling the effects. We all are.

I see the impacts every day in my work. Fatigue, anxiety, burnout, sleep disorders, stress, inflammation….
Even in our children.

Illness is on the rise. It’s an epidemic…
But because we are resilient and adaptive – we tend to miss the signals. Until it’s too late…
If this kind of self-deception continues – then it’s just a matter of time before exhaustion sets in. Or worse.

And we are in trouble.

Seriously! I can hear the outcry form here! “I don’t have time to rest!!!”

I know. I hear you. It feels like a s-t-r-e-t-c-h, to find the time to rest, right?

Yet – perhaps we can’t afford not to?

N o t   s u r e   y o u   n e e d   t o   r e s t ? 

Here’s some questions that act as a kind of litmus test:

– Do you ache for more time – to get it all done?

– Do you struggle through the day? Prop yourself up with stimulants?

– What if you let yourself rest as much as your body wanted to? Needed to?

– How might that (feeling adequately rested) show up in your body? Your life?

– What if you had a Deep Rest Master – right there supporting you? No matter where in the world you live?

– What if she shared her secret tools to help fast-track your relaxation response? So you could eventually feel deeply rested within minutes?

– How might that change things for you?


I knoooow, right? Sooooo many clients and students say that when they do fiiiinally get that 10 minutes break, that hour, or the whole Saturday to themselves to rest – they don’t know where to begin. (And I can guarantee it’s not on Facebook, babe.) Or they come to my class, have a session and float home with a reset system and a renewed intention to rest – but then life rushes back in and they can’t quite seem to make it happen….

We are conditioned to keep ‘doing’, performing, saying ‘yes’, pushing. We’ve got a serious case of FOMO (fear of missing out). Somewhere, we lost contact with our innate human instinct – to rest. In all the ‘busy’. Yep, we lost our rest-compass.

I’m your map AND your sherpa, babe.


I have Superpowers, and I own them.

They include courage, napping and unwavering love. And an uncanny ability to navigate people into profound states of rest.

I re-unite people with their compass.

This is my gift to humanity. To you.

For those who have been following my journey – I have had a major breakthrough in my own health (more about that later).

In a few words – I removed myself from a toxic bedroom environment and viola! I’m back baby!!! Watch those VOC’s!!! (LOL).
